Who We Are
The Junior League of the Emerald Coast began in 1964 with five women dedicated to making a difference in their community.
Today the Junior League of the Emerald Coast is an organization of women with diverse backgrounds who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism and positive community impact. The members of the JLEC strive to uphold our mission of advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Â
As a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), we are part of a global team with 300 Junior Leagues from the United States, Canada, Mexico, France, Kenya and the United Kingdom. Local members benefit from being a part of this global team by sharing ideas and community projects which are successful in other parts of the world and to use those experiences to better our own community.
